Artist's Comments

My drawing for Miyavi & Melody, to congratulate them on their new family.

Been refraining from putting it online, seeing as I was afraid people would steal the idea before I was able to give it to him.
September 27th he gave a concert in Holland, to which I of course went to, and I put this in the box of gifts for Meev. Not sure if he received it yet, but I just can't wait any longer with putting it online. Been waiting for a month now, longer, seeing as the drawing was done on September 13th.
Anyway, I'm very happy for Miyavi and Melody.

This drawing took about 11 hours. The original picture didn't have Melody, so my mom and I got the idea of just putting her in there anyway.
The fairy dust took most time, for I first added the gray and then slowly erasedit with a kneasable eraser.

Drawn with a 0.5 B pencil. One of this pen-like things so the point is always sharp.
Did the shading(and the sparkles) with that pencil and a kneadable eraser.

Paper: A4 (210 x 297mm)
180grams, broken white.

A lot of people don't really understand why I put her there, obviousl they don't get that this drawing isn't for Miyavi, but for them as a family, and Tinkerbell represents the health and happiness I wish on them. xD

Aww yeah that's a really sweet thought. And the more I look at this drawing, the more I think that Tink really belongs there. It wouldn't be the same without her :D

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. This really encourages me to draw more. Putting Tink in there was pretty hard, and hearing some people on miyavi_media complain made me wonder if Miyavi would like it... but I'm sure he'd even just appreciate the effort I put in it.
Plus, I put Melody in it as well, while most people seem to forget her.

Yeah, people do tend to forget Melody as if she didn't have anything to do with the whole baby thing ^^; At first it was kinda hard for me to accept Miyavi's marriage and stuff 'cause it just seemed weird, but now I'm totally in love with their little family and Lovelie is sooo adorable :3 So yeah, I was fangirling all over the place when I saw this drawing :D
